The World Surf League Has Adopted the Apple Watch as Its Official Wearable

The World Surf League has declared the Apple Watch as its official wearable device, making it the first time the Apple Watch has been utilized as "official competitor equipment" in a professional sports environment. WSL competitors will receive either an Apple Watch Series 8 or Apple Watch Ultra before each heat, pre-loaded with the WSL Surfer app. This app provides surfers with the opportunity to access vital information in real-time, such as their current scores, wave priority, and time remaining in the heat, directly from their wrists. This partnership has been met with great enthusiasm from Eric Sue, director of Apple Watch product marketing, who expressed his delight about the collaboration.
